What is a Guardian Home

A guardian home is a family that cares for the breeder’s dog while it is part of the breeding program. The guardian home provides a permanent home for the dog while the breeder retains breeding rights for a set period of time. Once the dog retires from the breeding, it will be spayed/neutered, and ownership will be transferred to the guardian family.

Please note this is not an application for a retired or older dog, guardian dogs typically go to the guardian home at 8 weeks of age. Guardian dogs are chosen by the breeder for their breeding program. We prefer guardian families to be within a couple of hours of Saginaw, Michigan.

Meet Frankie, a beautiful liver, white, Tri English Springer Spaniel with a sweet and gentle soul. Frankie is currently seeking a loving Guardian Home where she can grow, thrive, and be a cherished part of a family while remaining part of our responsible breeding program.

Frankie has a naturally calm and easygoing temperament. She may be a little shy at first in new situations, but she warms up quickly with kindness and patience. Submissive by nature, she gets along well with both people and other animals, and her mellow energy makes her a great fit for a relaxed home environment. She enjoys a good cuddle, quiet time, and will blossom in a home where she’s treated with care and consistency.

Ideal Guardian Home:

  • Located within reasonable driving distance of Saginaw, MI

  • Stable household with time to dedicate to Frankie’s development and socialization

  • Willingness to follow health and care guidelines provided by the breeder

  • Commitment to keeping her as a house pet, with lots of love and attention

  • Preferably someone with experience with dogs or the willingness to learn

As part of a Guardian Home arrangement, all breeding-related expenses are covered by us. You are responsible for Frankie’s daily care, training, and routine vet visits.

She’s currently seeking a Guardian Home where she can enjoy an active lifestyle with a family who’s ready to laugh, play, and be endlessly entertained by her antics.

Stella has a fun-loving personality and is always on the move—whether she’s chasing butterflies, bouncing after bubbles, or trying to catch every leaf that blows by. She's intelligent, alert, and eager to be involved in whatever her people are doing. While she has plenty of puppy energy, she’s also affectionate and bonds deeply with her humans.

Ideal Guardian Home:

  • Located within a reasonable distance of Saginaw, MI

    We are a part of LuAnn's guardian program with Bubba. Bubba is 2.5 years old and stays at our house with us. For all intents and purposes he is our dog on the day to day basis, but when it comes time for LuAnn to use him as stud he'll go with her to breed. I cover the normal expenses of owning a dog (vet, food, flea and tick beds etc.) but any breeding related expenses are covered by LuAnn. Her communication about what's going on with Bubba is always handled with great care and attentiveness.

We take care of all Molly’s normal needs and vet appointments. When she is bred, McNally handles all of those costs. We love it when we get to come and spend a couple of hours playing with all the puppies and snuggling before we bring Molly home. We’ve just loved the guardianship opportunity!

    After the heartbreaking loss of my 16½-year-old Westie-the, the last of my four beloved dogs from various breeds wasn't sure if I was ready to bring another furry friend into my life. But on April 28th, I welcomed Maui, my very first English Springer Spaniel, into my home, thanks to McNally's Springers and Doodles Family and Friends.

    I instantly fell in love with Maui and the Springer breed as a whole.
